No Buy February

Screen Shot 2014-02-05 at 10.53.53

Okay so technically I have already been shopping this month but it was my BIRTHDAY yesterday, so that can’t count, right? After our serious spree in New York last week I felt like a little spending break might be necessary but given the jubilations I didn’t want to start from the 1st of the month and I wondered how many of you I can hook in to join me. I am somewhat of a shopaholic so it’s going to be a serious challenge.. the advent of online shopping means that even at home I can’t avoid the temptation but I’m yet to film videos of my recent hauls and I’m hoping that the fact that’s all still sitting in shopping bags waiting to be played with will keep the cravings at bay.

Previously when I’ve tried to restrict myself there’s been a big beauty launch I tell myself I NEED for the blog and cave within days but I’m pretty confident this month as we’ve just had Christmas, our anniversary, my Birthday and we’ve bought our Valentines gifts already so there’s no cause to crumble.. famous last words.

Who’s with me?

I’m in! I’m saving up for my trip to New York in June so I am on a spending ban until then, unless I need stuff for the trip like clothes 🙂 So excited to see your haul videos, glad you had a great time, been watching your vlogs too, and now I’m even more excited to go 😀

I went to Asda yesterday to pick up a parcel (a bkini), and was greeted by rails of sale stuff. 8 items, pair of shoes and 2 headbands later I left. Havent tried on yet so some may be going back. x

I tried this back in November and miserably failed. I just can’t miss out on great opportunities. I have decided that going cold turkey is just not for me so instead I budget. I limit myself to a certain amount a month and I don’t let myself surpass it. It helps me think twice about whether or not I really need this or that item. But good luck on your mission though!

My birthday isn’t until the 16th so by that logic I can start on the 17th and still join you? In which case I’m in 🙂

This is a fantastic idea, but as a shopaholic, I’ve already purchased quite a few things this month… I might try this in a few months time as I have two hen do’s to save for and two weddings.

I’m 100% in. January was meant to be my month for saving money but instead I spent (a lot) more than usual on a new camera, make up and skincare. I’m being good this February and hopefully I’ll rediscover products I already own and forgotten that I loved! x

I would love to join you! I know that I will absolutely fail, as soon as I see a bargain I will cave. But I’ll try! 🙂 xx
