NOTD – Essie To Buy Or Not To Buy

In the bottle this colour is stunning. An opaque lilac with suspended particles of blue glitter, like nothing else I have. Unfortunately the glitter does not translate at all once it’s applied, I had to really look for it and only in certain lights could I detect a hint.. disappointing! Not only that but removal was a serious pain. You know those glitzy shades made up of tiny glitter particles that act like sand paper against your cotton pad? Well this is just like that only the polish isn’t nearly spectacular enough to warrant the time and effort. It’s one of the very very few Essie polishes I don’t feel like recommending to anyone, it’s almost identical to Berry Icecream by Barry M so your money is better spent on that in my opinion!

As of this moment I can only find the original salon formula/brush available to buy for £8.50 online here but I picked mine up from my local Xtra’s store for £2.99 so do a little shopping around as this is a past season shade so you may be able to find a better deal!

Damn, that’s a shame. I picked that polish up from the Xtra website around the same time you got yours. At least we got it on a good deal rather than paying full price for it!
