As a youngster I was a big fan of vanilla.. everything and anything vanilla I had to have and had to spritz all over me in large quantities much to my mothers despair. As an adult I have grown out of the sickly sweet phase of my youth however I’ve found that the sugary scent is still present in many of my favourite fragrances, this included. Orient is the second Nspa fragrance I’ve tried, the original smells exactly like their bath and body line – which is why I bought it – and this is deep and spicy with a hint of vanilla.. a more sophisticated take on a sweet fragrance. Other familiar notes are amber and musk.. one of these days I will actually take the time to get together notes of each of my favourite perfumes and pick out the notes that continue to pop up but these are two I’m already aware of. Orient is one of 3 in a new line launched recently by Nspa, the others are Pure and Bloom – you can read about them here – and they’re all available at Asda priced £8 for 1 or £10 for 2. Ideal stocking fillers and if you’re still shopping (bit last minute, isn’t it?) you can pick these up with your turkey – bonus!
