NYE Nails

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAI’ve taken a little break over Christmas (a freeing feeling for me as I don’t usually take a real break but you’ll be happy to learn I’ve almost completed Theme Hospital – it only took me 16 years) however tomorrow is a big day of blog prep so normal service shall resume shortly. Today will be a quick one however.. I love to post about nail polish because if ever I am shopping online for new colours blog pictures are my only real resource but there’s only so much you can say about formula/longevity.. these posts could probably survive on pictures alone but I feel like I have to tell you SOMETHING.. so here goes. I picked up a Muppets duo from TK Maxx yesterday (Romancing The Frog) for an absolute steal – £5 for 2 full size OPI polishes!. The main thing that drew me in however was this glitter. It’s called ‘Muppets World Tour’ and since I’ve been SO in to glitter recently I couldn’t resist. The other colour in the set is a deep metallic blue (post to come when I’m over my glitter phase) which I’m sure would look great underneath this but I thought I’d stick with just the sparkle for New Years.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAI can’t tell you how chip resistant it is yet as I’ve only had it on an hour or so but it applied like the Liquid Sand polishes I’ve used in the past and they lasted very well. I’m not a fan of the textured look so I topped it off with my glossy Seche Vite top coat however the LS formulas are packed with glitter and super quick to dry so if you’re cool with rough nails you will likely love them as they’re great for a last minute mani.

I found the duo on Nail Polish Direct (my favourite place to buy OPI/China Glaze) for £12.95 here however they’re also selling Muppets World Tour alone for £6.95 here

What’s on your nails for New Year?

I picked up the same duo from TK Maxx too and I am obsessed with the glitter! It looks amazing over a pinky nude nail polish (I’m wearing it as an accent nail) as well to just add something to it.
