OPI – Liquid Sand – The Impossible

I’m back with my second Liquid Sand review from the Mariah Carey OPI collection. As I mentioned previously I am not a big fan of this textured finish but this bright, glittery pink definitely pulls it off better than the black and red. As with almost all mixed glitter formulas my main irk is that you can never get the cool shapes! There are stars in here but not once of the 3 times I’ve used this so far have I managed to catch one.. very annoying!

The overall effect of this colour/glitter combo is very pretty, so much so that I can almost forgive the ‘liquid sand’ texture but oh how I wish it was glossy. As I mentioned in the last review, it dries quickly and is ‘opaque’ with 2 coats so it’s a great fast manicure that looks like you’ve spent far longer painting your nails than you have and if you like the textured craze I would wager you will love this collection!

Thanks for these reviews- like you, i’ve been a bit unsure at the idea of overly textured nails, but I think you’ve helped me decide I won’t be wasting my money on them- glossy all the way!

The textured effect looks cool, although I don’t know if it’s my thing. I love the cute pink colour of the polish though! =D
