ORLY Coastal Crush

ORLY COASTAL CRUSH

So many Summer collections are pastels and muted neons (both of which I’m a fan of) lately that it’s nice to see a brighter alternative from Orly. The two colours I received from the Coastal Crush range are No Regrets (pink) and Under The Stars (blue).

ORLY NO REGRETS

Being quite new to Orly I have no frame of reference to draw comparisons to past collections but these were both easy to apply, no streaks and opaque in two coats. The brush is wider than any other brand I’ve used so is tricky when it comes to capping the edges and precision on smaller nails but it makes quick work of the process if you have large nail beds. Both were average when it came to chipping , I’d say Under The Stars had a slight edge but I may be biased since I’ve reapplied that colour mltiple times over the past month. I haven’t found many metallic blues like this that feel bright enough for the Summertime and I love it.

ORLY UNDER THE STARS

Colours aside I don’t love the lids on these bottles, everything feels oversized and I’m not sure whether it’s the cap, the brush or a mix of the two but it felt a little clunky. Practice may be needed and I’d like to try more so any Orly recommendations you have, send them my way!

You should try the shade mirrorball, beautiful holographic silver with a smooth finish, bar far the best orly polish I’ve tried

I haven’t tried any Orly polishes myself but I totally get what you mean with the handle being too big, I can’t seem to take to polishes like that. However that blue is amazing!
