Pill Poppin’

You hear a lot about vitamins and supplements in the beauty community. From hair growth pills to those promising beautiful skin.. everyone seems to be taking something. I’ve never been great at remembering to take a pill every single day (maybe that’s why I had my daughter at 19?) so I’ve never really bought in to it until a little twitter chat about joints led me to Glucosamine! At the start of the year I id something “not good” to my knee during a Zumba class and it just never seemed to remedy itself. After a week of walking the Vegas strip in March it was worse than ever and since then any walk longer than 10 mins would leave me feeling so achey and uncomfortable.. I felt far older than my 26 years! I didn’t feel I could call the DR just to say “my knee hurts” and part of me didn’t want to in case they used words like “drain” and “fluid” (I’d done a little google diagnosis. So I suffered through assuming it would never get better. I don’t even remember how it came up but it was suggested to me by many different people that Glucosamine would help. Bizarrely the next day I was contacted my Bioconcepts, an online retailer of these such supplements asking whether I’d be interested in reviewing one of their more cosmetic minded products. For once in my life I chose health over vanity (even my suntan avoidance has less to do with skin cancer than premature aging) and asked to try the recommended joint pills. They all said it would take weeks to feel the effect and it has but I can honestly say my knee feels almost 100% better. I walk to work every day and have started running on a treadmill and no aches and pains to report here. Although it’s not a beauty related product I will definitely be looking into the Bioconcepts supplements for my hair next after how effective the Glucosamine was.. I’m converted!

I have problems with my knee as well & must say had been recommended by my aunt to try these but never got around to it. Seeing this reminded me so definitely going to give them a try as well as would love to take up running!

I’ve sworn by supplements since I was young, it’s only been recently that I’ve properly stuck to them and they do really work! I get them from Nature’s best as they’re good prices and they sell the maximum strengths. The fish oil has made my joints better already and the vitamin E has improved my skin! 😀 It’s so worth doing! x

I think I might need to start taking this, as I mucked up my ankle last year and it’s still causing me a lot of aggro and now my other ankle is hurting! Really glad that your knee is almost better x

My flatmate was talking about this the other day. Must be a sign – will have to add it to my (already long) list of supplements!
