Primark Beauty

IMG_3996Can you believe I’ve never tried Primark Beauty products before?? I know!! My local stores don’t carry a huge range but when I was in Manchester a few weeks ago (best Primark EVER!) I spent an inordinate amount of time browsing their shelves and this is what I took home. Of course I had to pick up this cute monogram makeup bag to keep it all in too..

IMG_4007IMG_4009The lipsticks are probably what I was most impressed by, they are so bold and pigmented and in colours you wouldn’t expect. Cheap makeup lines usually have the same old shades, unwearable nudes and frosty pinks but these are really great. They don’t have names so I can’t tell you what they’re called but the taupe was what sold me, such an on trend colour.. and the PACKAGING! Near identical to Max Factor and considerably swisher looking than the £1.50 price tag.

IMG_4010IMG_4012This I picked up on the recommendation of El from AThriftyMrs who told me it was excellent for the price and she wasn’t wrong. It’s very impressive both to swatch and to use. It’s not Makeup Revolution impressive but I’d say it’s comparable to MUA and it’s around a third less so if you’re pinching pennies you might like this. The colour selection is great too, neutral but the odd colourful shadow too and a huge mirror in that sturdy packaging.. all for £2.50.

IMG_4017Lastly I didn’t even know Primark MADE fragrance but not only do they do it in bottles but they also make rollerballs which are near impossible to find regardless of price but SO handy to have. The scent I chose, Pink Me Up is sweet and fruity, generic, nothing super special but still really nice and although I can’t remember 100% I BELIEVE it was £2 or maybe even less. I will be picking up more of these roller balls for stocking fillers for sure!

Have you tried much from the Primark beauty range yet?

What a brilliant find. I didn’t know Primark had makeup. I must get some of those mat lipsticks. Thanks for blogging this!

I do like primarni lippies-they are good for the price- the kind you can take on travelling and not bother about losing them- Have you heard of the asda W7 in the buff palette? its £5 and totally sold out at the moment! supposed to be a dupe for the naked palette – they’ve duped it down to the double ended Brush and the tin!

I haven’t tried their beauty products yet because honestly I didn’t think they would be any good so I would normally just walk by the stand. I can’t believe how pigmented the lipsticks and eyeshadows look! I will definitely be browsing the cosmetics stand next time I’m in for sure. Great review x

I’ve heard about Primark beauty before but never tried it – but I quite like the look of the taupe lipstick and those rollerballs would be so handy! x

I was in Primark a week ago and bought that precise shade of lipstick (the faded rose), but the packaging here in Portugal is different! Same colours, but the outside is round, and they have gloss on the bottom. I was so impressed by them, I really wasn’t expecting much but wow! I posted a swatch today, they are really creamy and scented too. Positively impressed!

I’ve never tried the primary beauty range nor have I seen swatches. I’d definitely consider picking some pieces up after seeing this post. I didn’t think the products would be this good! Fabulously priced too x
