As I mentioned yesterday I did a spot of shopping and today I thought I’d share with you the few bits I bought from Primark. I don’t get much chance to shop there these days as between the crowds, untidy racks and the kids (my own) driving me mad with their impatience it’s just more trouble than it’s worth. Very occasionally however all the stars align and I get a moments peace to browse, find some pieces I actually like that aren’t at the new over inflated Primark prices and the queue is a reasonable length so that I can actually be bothered to stand in it long enough to take said items home with me. Yesterday was one such day and here’s what I bought..
This Tshirt is classic me (my wardrobe is filled with blue and white stripes) with a very un-me twist in the embellished shoulder detail. I thought this was a steal at £6 but considering the embellishment is bound to be destroyed after the first wash it will become a basic tshirt so I guess it’s pretty fair.
Can you see a theme with the horizontal stripes? Lee despairs when shopping with me as I appear to always be buying the same thing.. I’m not I swear but they are subtle variations. I love this sweater, it’s a super soft loose knit and I’ll definitely need a vest underneath as it’s too sheer to go without but it’s the perfect layering piece for the between seasons awkward dressing time we’ve been experiencing.. is it warm? might it snow? who the heck knows anymore? I think this was £5/6 and providing it holds up I know I will get so much wear out of it!
Lastly these were the things I actually went in for.. I’d seen them on numerous previous visits but for all of the aforementioned reasons had never made it to the till with them. They’re both also available in gold but I was over the moon to find them in silver as I can wear them so much more. The bracelets were £4 total and the necklace (my new favourite accessory) is £3 and they’ve both been in for months so I’m not sure if that means they’re going to stick around or you should go get them now as they may be end of season now. Both are so ‘Topshop’ to me and an absolute steal considering they would sell for at least 3x the price there.. I love Topshop jewellery but I just cannot justify £15 for a necklace that is no better quality than this one I bought for a fraction of that!
So that’s my haul. I was going to film a video but I have been so good with them lately that I have a fair few to go up before I film anything new and I can’t wait to wear/use my new stuff so I will no doubt forget what it is that I bought by the time I sit down with my camera which I suppose is why I decided to blog this one for a change. By the way, those of you who are reading on my blog as opposed to BlogLovin or other such reader.. how are you feeling about my new layout? I felt the other was getting a little cluttered and I love how neat this looks now but I still have some changes to make so I’m interested to hear your feedback before I lock down my new design.
