So… after my gym bag post the other day I was looking for fitness videos online and much as I’d like to switch it up.. I’m going back the shred. I know it works, it’s hard in my knees but i can do it and it’s short. If you don’t know what I’m talking about you can check out the first video here. I’m going to kick it off today and for those who might want to join me I thought I would let you know. I plan to do weekly updates (it runs for 30 days) about the shred and what I’ve been eating as well as any improvement I’ve seen. I’m not planning on doing any hardcore dieting but I do plan to cut out the sweet stuff – I’ve been snacking on biscuits and chocolate WAY more recently than normal and that’s never been an issue for me in the past – and most importantly, BEER! I don’t go out much but I drink at home, not to excess but enough to know it’s not going to help any weightloss. I would go as far as to say cutting that out alone will make a difference. So for 30 days I will exercise daily (either the shred or at the gym) cut out the sweets (or at least cut DOWN) and absolutely NO BEER!
I’m not going on a Summer holiday this year so I don’t need to be ‘bikini ready’ but these old photos of me are what make motivate me in the warmer months. I didn’t diet or exercise, I was just younger, I’ve had a second child since then and am a lot softer around the middle.. and about a stone and a half heavier but this was me, I’m not looking at some celebrity goal I DID look like this so why not again? – probably because I like pizza and beer too much but we’ll see!
Do any of you do anything specific in the run up to summer? Tanning aside of course.. that’s a given 😉
