Revlon Lip Butter – Wild Watermelon

IMG_4949

You may remember a couple of weeks ago I posted about another Lip Butter purchase, Pink Lemonade. Well nice as that is it’s not quite me, it’s pale as interesting but I like bright and bold in a lip colour if I’m going to wear one and Wild Watermelon is more my thing. That being said the colour swatched is not nearly as scary as it is in the bullet, it’s a translucent, glossy, pink toned red.

I love the new S/S13 Shades Revlon have launched.. I did end up buying Sorbet too when I saw it so now only need Juicy Papaya to complete my collection – which I have to, right? It can be tough to wear red in summer, it’s a colour I usually save for a colder, more festive season but this is the perfect shade for summer, something that can take you from day to night and never look too overdressed.. a casual red? I do still have my issues with the Lip Butter formula because my lips are always so dry but I’m hoping the warmer weather and a good lip srub will help me wear them more often. On that subject if anyone has a fantastic scrub recommendation I’m all ears! Do The Body Shop still make their Lip Scuff? *goes off on a tangent*..turns out they do – link – so that’s next on my ‘to buy’ list. But anyway.. I like this, I will buy more (although there are few left to buy I don’t have – oops) and the colour is oh so season appropriate!

Available online for £7.99 here

I haven’t tried them, but I’ve heard that the Lush lip scrubs are great.

I love this shade! I only have Berry smoothie, so may have to buy this one too. Great post 🙂

Have you thought about making your own lip scrub? I did it a while ago and it actually works really well and not to mention a lot much cheaper than buying one (I didnt even buy anything to make mine as I had everything I needed already!)

I find my Lush lip scrub usually does the job but when my lips are really bad I use a small blob of Ginvera Marvel Gel. Sounds a bit silly but I find it really helps with the most stubborn flakes! If you do get the Lip Scuff I’d love to see a review of it, looks like it could be good for when I’m out and about x

Wow, I love this colour! I have three colours so far, but now this one has definitely got my interest. Thanks for sharing! (I’ve got peach parfait, macaroon and pink truffle. Only the first one has let me down a little bit: love the colour, but man, so much glitter..)

I don’t have those but the bolder shades are definitely the nicer formulas

I bought a Berry one on Saturday.. Can’t remember the exact name but I’m in bed and I can’t be bothered to get up and look. Anyway, it was a bit more subtle than Sorbet (which I was tempted to!). Plus, Superdrug had them with £2 off, so only £5.99. Bargain!
