Revolution Vivid Baked Highlighter

IMG_2586Another post on Makeup Revolution.. are you bored yet? No? Great! I’ll keep them coming! I have so many Makeup Rev products on my wishlist right now and they just keep impressing me so I can’t imagine you will be hearing any less about them in the foreseeable future.

Anyway.. Vivid Baked Highlighter in Golden Lights.. how beautiful is this? It’s one of the more attractive budget cheek products in my collection that’s for sure. The packaging is standard plastic but the detail of the product in the pan is appreciated from a budget brand.

I find it so difficult to capture highlight on camera.. unless you’re out in direct sunlight most are very subtle but really do you want to walk around with metallic stripes on your face? Not so much.. so you’ll just have to take my word for it that I’m wearing it in the pictures below..

IMG_2548IMG_2585IMG_2550I think you can just about pick it up in the close up, it actually is quite metallic and iridescent, very bold if applied with a heavy hand so I’d recommend a duo fibre brush for a light application. If you applied this wet as an eyeshadow I think it could be pretty high impact.. may have to try that! The shimmer is chunkier than I like in a highlight, I prefer a sheen rather than visible glitter and although it’s only fine it’s still a niggle of mine. Still gives a great result but one I will reserve for evenings out rather than work days.

Suppose you can’t expect something amazing for £3, but for the price this definitely sounds worth checking out even though like yourself I don’t love chunky pieces of glitter in my highlighters.

This highlighter looks gorgeous and the price is great! So much better than spending £20 + on a high end highlighter!
