sequinned wedding dresses

JS Collection Sequin Bousson Gown / Adrianna Papell Bouson V-Neck Dress / Adrianna Papell Art Deco Beaded Dress / Dorothy Perkins Ivory Cami Midi Dress

Consider this a follow up to the first ‘Vegas Dress’ post.. we aren’t going for another year but I am just SO excited that I’m finding it hard to contain so I’m busying myself looking at pretty dresses for our vow renewal. Since wedding season is pretty much upon us right now I may even do a little post on photography since for me that’s the only thing your left with from what can be a super expensive day. You’re married whether it costs you £50 or £50,000 so if you’re spending big money you want the pictures to really express that day you were planning for what felt like a lifetime.. no? I know that a big part of my wanting to renew our vows is that I want a photo do-over.. I had only given birth weeks before our wedding and my dress was plain and cheap.. everything was.. this time I’d like a little glamour. I’ve looked at alot of styles of dress but I keep coming back to the beaded and the sequined.. basically anything bejewelled and spangly. I want something that will look bridal ENOUGH but not so much so that I will feel odd walking around in it afterwards.. I’m also not looking to spend a bundle on a dress I can never wear again so much as I like the OTT first floorlength number I will likely go for something a little shorter and less WOW. I love EVERYTHING I’ve seen from Adrianna Papell but am also very much enamoured of this cheaper Dorothy Perkins number too.. there’s a nice one in French Connection that’s on sale right now but I’m waiting to see it in person because some photos look perfect and others look a little blah. Don’t you hate that with online shopping? The colour can be WAY out when it arrives.

If you have any suggestions as to where I might find the perfect, embellished dress please let me know.. in the meantime I will be trawling eBay for second hand Jenny Packham I can’t afford 😉

Hiya! I love your blog! Am always checking out your new posts but never get around to commenting! But this time I will! The dresses you have chosen are stunning but a word of warning… My sister bought the third one in (floor length by Adrianna Papell) for her prom. When she got to the till the cashier kept warning her that she must keep it flat otherwise a whole row of beads will just come off like it did on the one she purchased. So my sister kept it folded or flat and as soon as she got it home we noticed two lines of beads had come off!! Could you imagine if she had worn it to prom and that happened!?! Lovely dress but very expensive considered the ease of it falling apart. Hope this helps!!

    Lots of love,
