Sensationail – First Impression

Last week I received a very exciting package in the mail – The Sensationail Starter Kit! I’ve been seriously eying this up recently after they started selling the polishes in Tesco and was on the verge of purchase when they contacted me and asked if I’d like to review the system. Yes I am bragging, that NEVER happens, haha (sorry). So anyway.. Although it was free I already know I am going to spend an absolute fortune on extending my collection of gel polishes, I spent a good 3 hours browsing the web for different brands and the cheapest places to buy today and am pretty excited about getting some Christmas glitters.. yay!

So far I’ve done my fingers and toes, My Mums nails and Ella’s toes and all have lasted over a week so far and were super easy and quick to do. I wanted to get in a good practice few before I filmed a video with the system and more importantly before my best friends wedding (this Friday) as I will be doing the bridesmaids nails for that. So far I have nothing but good things to report, My next test will be to see whether I can sandwich regular nail polish between the gel base/top coat. I have heard mixed reports on whether this works and believe it’s all about leaving them to dry 100% which is difficult  to judge but I really want to try it as my polish collection is way to big to cast aside for the next big nail craze.

Anywho, I just wanted to let you know I’ve been trying this out and so far love it and also ask you guys if you use gels what your favourite brands are and where you buy your stuff from. The Sensationail polishes I’ve tried could probably get away with one coat which is great and I’d be happy to buy those full price if it was a little special but for the basic shades I’m looking for a cheaper alternative.

You can buy the starter kit online here for £69.99

You should go on eBay and search for “bluesky diamond polish” they’re really cheap and they have amazing full on glitters! I wear them all the time and they last up to 3 weeks 🙂

I have an LED lamp and I get bluesky gel polish off ebay, really cheap and it last as well as the expensive ones, I have sandwiched my regular nail polish between the top and base and it does work, you just have to make sure your polish is completely dry before you but the top coat over it, and cap the free edge, it lasts well over a week doing this 🙂

Sounds great! How do you remove it, do you just wipe like normal nail varnish or have to soak them off?

I love Sensationail but find it ridiculously difficult to remove – harder than any professional gel polishes I’ve had done!

Sensationail have their own online UK shop and it’s cheaper than Boots, Tesco etc and they often have special offers on too! xXx

I’m so excited Sensationail are sending me a kit too! I can’t wait to try it out and look forward to seeing how you do with using regular polish with it, maybe we can complare notes 😉 x

I bought the sensationail kit for £30 (the box was damaged) and I loved it, but I found my nails were so dry and damaged after I’d used it and taken the polish off just once. If you find you have this problem, could you give us any tips of how to avoid or treat this? Thanks! x
