Sensationail – Rock My Emerald

IMG_9328

I’m not usually a big green fan when it comes to nails but I LOVED this.. so metallic and sparkly.. a great festive colour for sure. Rock My Emerald is one of the new Sensationail Liquid Metal collection which have all already sold out online but as soon as they’re back in stock I have my eye on Going For The Rose Gold.. just as beautiful as this but a pretty, delicate warm gold that I would imagine will be super flattering.. I need it.

My full Sensationail review will be coming very soon, I have so many videos to filmed already so it’s at the back of the queue but many of you have asked whether it’s any good as you’re considering asking for it/giving it for Christmas. I initially thought it was an expensive was to buy a gel nails system as you could buy all of the individual bits and pieces online for less but when I added everything up there’s actually very little in it and this way it’s all branded so if anything goes wrong you know who to contact.. warranty and all. So in a word, yes I would absolutely recommend it. I love the Sensationail polishes I have and if it’s a special shade (like the rose gold) I will consider buying another from the brand but when I come to replace the case/top coat and basic colours etc I will be looking to eBay for cheaper alternatives. When you have a polish collection as large as I you just can’t justify spending £12+ on more. On the regular polish note I’ve been trying to use my nail polish in between coats of gel and so far it’s been hit and miss but I will persevere and if I perfect it you can expect a gelly sandwich tutorial. If it works it makes the whole thing so much more worthwhile as you can use it with all the colours you already have!

Have any of you had success with the gelly sandwich method?

Miss BB

Have you tried the new MUA nail polishes? The packaging looks just like the essie nail polishes!

I would say that the trick with the sandwiching would be to make sure everything is completely dry. Maybe you could use a normal base coat and just use the gel top coat? Because if it doesn’t work maybe its because its hard to put the normal polish on top of the gel base coat. That’s what I think anyway.
