September Lust Haves

13 Classic Satchel in Red from The Cambridge Satchel Company – The is top of my list right now, I’ve been looking for a light weight bag to take with me to New York in January and this ticks all the boxes. What I currently have either doesn’t close (dangerous in a busy city) or is too heavy (love chain straps but hate carrying their weight) so I’m looking at this as my day to day. I’m in two minds whether I should go for this bright pillar box (Christmas) red or the more wearable (and completely on trend) Oxblood.. thoughts? I’m entirely sold on the 13in and having it blind monogrammed however.. all about customisation and I love that my married initials are MM! MUA Matte Lipsticks – It’s driving me mad that I haven’t been able to get my hands on these yet but I hate buying lipsticks online because you just never know what they will be like are there aren’t a TON of swatches out there yet so I will hold out until I find them in one of my local stores. Matte lips are my favourite finish and the fact that MUA’s £1 range has released some is just about the most exciting thing that’s happened this month. Topman Tartan Scarf – It doesn’t have to be this specific scarf (I’m pretty sure H&M have one this season too) but I really want a red/tartan scarf.. If I do indeed splurge on my satchel in red I think the scarf would tie everything together. My winter coat is an uber casual (and uber warm) parka so I’m hoping between the two it will dress up my look while keeping me snug. CND Gel Nail Polish in Hollywood – I recently got a gel nails starter kit with a few polishes from Sensationail (post to come) and absolutely love it.. I’m currently typing away with a week old entirely chip free manicure. My next test will be to see if I can sandwich my regular nail polish between the layers of gel (I’ve heard mixed reports on this) however realising this is likely to fail I’m in the market for some wintery colours, any recommendations are very welcome! Rebecca Minkoff Pouch – It doesn’t have to be the red one (I was going with the theme) but I’ve wanted one of these for the longest time, the slogans are so cute and little pouches are so useful for organising your stuff in a big bag and transferring only the things you need when moving to a smaller one.

I can’t pretend that’s EVERYTHING I have my eye on right now but I’ve been a bit of a spending machine recently so I’m allowing myself the bag on payday, the scarf when I see it.. and maybe something from the new Rihannah for MAC collection – the packaging is just too amazing! Otherwise these bits and bobs will have to wait, I’d rather save for NY spending after all!

I adore the look of the satchel. Saw them featured in a magazine a few months ago when they completely seduced me! Got a birthday coming up soon so have been dropping HUGE hints! I personally would go for the oxblood colour as it would give you more chances to use it, unless you want to keep it for special occasions. I couldn’t get mine monogrammed though as my married initials are a rude acronym!

Love the other choices. Going to have to investigate the whole gel sandwiching thing for sure as I am just a plain old normal varnish girl x

Totally go pillar box red, I think it’s more classic and will be wearable in the future, I do like Oxblood but I think it won’t be on trend next year but that’s ok if you don’t mind.

Go for the Minkoff bag in NYC, you’ll get a better price and be able to choose it in the store. I’m going for the RM in mini Mac when I get to the states next year and splurging on some Tori Burch shoes and Kate Spade.

Love the satchel, the Cambridge satchel company do factory seconds, They just have small faults on them like wrinkles in the leather but they are reduced by quite a fair amount. X

I love matte lipsticks, feel like they last longer and I really like the matte effect.
I would personally go for the oxblood colour as it won’t be as ‘in your face’ as the bright red one. Lovely bag though xx

If your looking for some gel polish, I couldn’t recommend red carpet manicure enough. I absolutely love it. It wears just as good as shellac (I have both) and is cheaper than sensationail, at 12.95 a bottle. I would say for the festive season to pick up draped in rubies. It’s simply lush. You can get it in Sallys asos qvc or from red carpet direct and it’s around 12.95 a bottle.
