Short Hairspiration

Short Hairspiration

So I cut off a chunk of hair and it’s all Julianne Hough’s fault! I like it but it’s an adjustment so obviously I immediately started googling for styling ideas and it would appear that the ‘bob’ is the cut of the season. Whaddayaknow? I’m accidentally on trend for once! I took the picture of Julianne (above) but got more like the Sienna which was a little scary but it’s so quick to dry and style and almost looks better messy than ‘done’ which is EXCELLENT as I am so lazy with my hair! I’ll spend hours (and have) on my makeup but I just can’t be bothered with hair so I’m hoping this might just be perfect! I’m going to share some pictures once I’ve had my colour redone this weekend (I’m going for a solid blonde this time rather than highlights) and hopefully will be sharing some of my favourite shorter styles with you very soon.

In the meantime I thought those of you who found this post because of a fresh cut of your own might like this video. I found it the first time I had the chop and found it immensely useful as you’d assume a short cut was really limiting but this girl proves there’s lots you can do with not so much effort – win!

Ooh thank you for this! I had my hair cut this week to that very similar as the women in the video so this was so helpful. It’s my first time having a full fringe so I’ve been trying to wrangle that into submission and letting my naturally curly hair just do its own thing, this post has given me some ideas 😀

I recently got my hair cut but now I want to go even shorter to something like this! Great hairspiration 🙂

I swore to myself I will let it grow out. I had it cut to a bob it grew out nicely had it trimmed which turned out to be much more than a trim and now I am tired and want my long hair back. I need my ends trimmed but I am terrified because it took so long to grow it out. It’s now passed my shoulder.

This is how I have my hair cut! The easiest way I find to get a messy style to it is take my straightener on a lower heat setting and randomly curl pieces here and there, leaving larger sections of hair untouched. It looks unkempt and just how I wanted my textured bob to look. Super easy once you get used to it!
