Sleek Blush – Flushed

IMG_1533IMG_1534

I only recently discovered the world of Sleek outside of their eyeshadows thanks to their Faceform – I loved it and couldn’t wait to try more of the blushes. I already had Rose Gold as it came in the palette and that’s beautiful but I wanted to try something matte so I picked this up along with another which I will review later. This was a total out there colour for me, I usually choose pinks of peaches.. very rarely something as deep as Flushed and the first time I used it I looked like a Russian doll so I really wasn’t sure I’d get much use from it. Since then I’ve perfected the light handed application and usually come up with something like the below.

I could have gone heavier here and in the mirror it looked like I had but I used just a little and buffed it in with my angled blush brush avoiding the apples of my cheeks. That’s been a bit of a revelation for me this year actually.. blush placement. I tend to use it in  place of a contour now (when I’m not using my faceform) rather that my apples as it can tend to look a little odd and it’s not uber flattering on a round face like mine.. learning all the time!

I will definitely be looking more at Sleek blushes in future, I’m not completely in love with their eyeshadows but as a brand they get a lot of good press so I feel like I should broaden my horizons and try some more, any recommendations?

I haven’t use any of the Sleek products, but they look so lovely and really great quality and so affordable!

Loving the hair by the way!

Pixie Pink is another really pretty Sleek blush! Its a real barbie pink type of colour! The Pout Paints are also another good one, like the OCC Lip Tars but only like 3 or 4 pounds! 🙂

Love sleek blushes, I have 3, rose gold, suede and pomegrante which is absolutely gorgeous when applied. Looks scary but it’s really not

I love how although it could be quite a vigorous colour, this is very light and subtle and fresh looking 🙂

I have the sleek blush palette in lace and it’s so nice although the shimmery shade is practically the same as rose gold but the name off it on the back doesn’t say that…? The singular blush FLamingo is a gorgeous hot pink and I have that and looks so nice.

I had the exact same issue with this and put too much on at first and it looked ridiculous. I love the colour though, I guess I just need to practice using it with a lighter hand! Newgirl49.blogspot.co.uk x

I bought this blusher yesterday but haven’t tried it out yet, I didn’t find Rose Gold flattering on my very pale and pink skin so I hope this one is a bit better 🙂 x

Great post! I’ve just followed you. The Sleek contouring palettes are pretty good, I bought one after Zoella featured it in her video and I have been pretty impressed. At the moment I’m trying out the Sleek corrector and concealer kit and I like that too so far 🙂

I love Sleek blushes, I have the faceform, the suede and flushed blushes and their new blush trio in pink lemonade which I’m using all the time right now.

I love the Sleek I-Divine eyeshadow palettes! “The Original” and “Storm” are very pretty but I also have about 7 other palettes and really like them. But their shimmery shades are much better then their matte ones. As a blush “Pomegranate” is also very nice and a great dupe for MAC Breezy 😉

I have this and love it, I’d even say it’s probably my all-time favourite blush shade. It suits my super pale skin really nicely and looks SO natural, especially in winter x

I swear by this shade in the winter! I picked it up on a complete whim as I loved the face form kit, when I got it home I had no idea how to wear it due to it being so heavily pigmented but once I got used to it it’s absolutely wonderful! xo

I have their blush by 3 in Lace and a single in Flamingo. Such great value, nighly pigmented products. I am also a fan of the pout paints and matte lippies. Mystic is my signature colour these days!

    Aloha!

I purchased Sleek’s Flushed just yesterday as part of some retail therapy to cheer myself up. I’ve been lying in bed googling other ladies who also own it to see how it looks. Great post. I totally agree with you on blush placement. It wasYoutuber Wayne Goss who helped me see the light 🙂
I also own Flamingo (my first ever blush and I’m 25!) Rose Gold and Life’s a Peach.
Feel free to check out my blog as I’m new. Byee!
