Sleek Blush – Suede

IMG_1535

I could have reviewed this months ago but I know some people are picky over swatching vs ‘on face’ shots (why does everything I say sound like an innuendo?) so I put it off until I had one. I’m so excited for light mornings cause it means I can photograph makeup as I wear it rather than just to take pictures.. hurrah for the clocks changing! Anyway.. I’m fairly new to Sleek blushes, I have a couple but am very happy with them so will be looking to expand that collection in the not too distant future but this is by far my most worn. It reminds me a little of Peaches by MAC but it’s a touch warmer and much less sheer.. there’s something in it though. I think I prefer this, I’m not sure peach is my colour and this is a little more neutral and the packaging is crazy compact which makes it ideal for travel or to keep in your handbag for touch ups.

Lastly.. the finish.. you really don’t get all that many matte products at the drugstore, I’m not sure whether it’s easier to formulate a powder with shimmer or they think that’s what everyone wants but sometimes I just want a sparkle free cheek colour (scrap that.. MOST of the time) and it’s not often I reach for something more affordable in my collection but Sleek do a few in their range – I also have Flushed which is equally lovely. If you know of any others leave me a comment and the same for Sleek recommendations.. I haven’t tried much from the brand on the whole really.. not a HUGE fan of their eyeshadows (too much fall out from mineral products) but I’d be interested to hear what you think I’d like.

This sounds so lovely! I’m a big fan of the contour kit, i like using the bronzer for the crease when i’m not tanned enough to wear it 🙂 xx

Apparently mattes are waaay harder to formulate than shimmers. Or so says Marlena from make up geek but she has her own make up line so I guess she knows.

I love Sleek’s Face Form Contour Kit! Although the blush in that is a shimmer, so I’ll be buying one or more of Sleek’s matte blushes soon. I’ve had my eye on their Blush by 3 palette in Lace, so it’ll probably be that. Although this shade is really lovely too!

Gorgeous color! I also don’t have a palette from them but I would like to have the Oh So Special palette. The lipsticks should also be nice, i heard.

I love Sleek blush and their palettes are amazing too. I don’t really look to them for anything else though so need to have a better look at their stand next time I’m in Superdrug

I think the Sleek Blushers are great and the darker colours are particularly pigmented! This colour looks so pretty on you too! 🙂

Love sleek blushes! I would recommend trying the shade flamingo, it looks a bit crazing in the pan but a light dusting on the cheeks gives you a pretty flush of colour 🙂

I LOVE sleek blushes, they are so pigmented & affordable.

My favs at the moment are coral and pink pop (coral is particularly good!)

I would definitely recommend trying some more!
