Sleek Face Contour Kit – Light

I put off this purchase for the longest time because (and I know this will be an unpopular statement) Sleek just hadn’t impressed me in the past. People raved about their shadows and blushes but having tried a couple of palettes and not been quite so excited I decided the brand wasn’t for me. I’m not sure what made me buy this in the end but boy am I glad I did.. it’s super compact (I have travel on the mind right now) and versatile.. my only wish is that they’d included a blush with slightly more pigmentation. The Rose Gold they included is beautiful but it has so much sheen that it almost negates the highlight so I would have preferred something either more matte or deeper in colour I think.

That being said I have been wearing it a lot lately and you can see it in action in my Winter Glow makeup video here. The sheen doesn’t really pick up on camera but it’s there, trust me. I’ve been practicing with the contour colour, I’ve never been very good at that and my cheeks have little natural shape other than ROUND so it’s tricky but this little trio has pushed me to keep at it. I’d definitely suggest you give this a go, I was considering the Urban Decay Flushed face palette until I bought this.. saved myself a tenner 😉

Available online here for £9.99

I think it looks like a gorgeous palette, but I can see how the blush shade also has its own sheen/highlighter aspects. I probably would have preferred a matte blush as well. By the way, I clicked on the “winter glow” video to kind of see it in action, but it tells me that the video is private…

I used to love their eye shadow before I got into my obsession with urban decay palettes, but this looks really good for travel as then I won’t need to take my bronzer, highlight and blush in 3 seperate products. My only issue would be I wouldn’t want that blush or just the one.

I have been looking for a contouring kit that’s not to shimmery and not too expensive and this one looks like it could be OK
I feel a bit like you with the sleek collection so have been a little wary
May have to purchase this one xx

Completely agree about the blush. I have a lot of the sleek palettes and really like them. It’s shame you didn’t get on with them as it would of been nice to see you do a tutorial xoxo

I really like sleek by 3 blushes but really hate the sweet cheeks (cream) & the new 2 as they contain a cream blush as well as 2 powders… Fast forward a month? The cream will be dry & full of the other 2 powder blushes 🙁 Why Sleek! Just why! I love this one though x

I’ve always liked their eye shadows, they’re just really good quality for the price. Not a patch on UD but they’re half the price so its all good. I like their blushes and lipsticks too but I feel like a lot of the colours aren’t very wearable. I bought this palette before the rose gold blush was available as a single, if I hadn’t I would have just bought the blush. I feel like bronzers are all the same and I have prettier highlighters but that blush is lovely.

If you don’t like the blush you can still get the bronzer and highlighter duo on the superdrug website :} x

I picked up this palette the other day, just in a slightly lighter shade. I agree thought that the blush could of been a bit more pigmented. I find it gives more shimmer than colour!

I’ve heard so much hype about Sleek products and I can’t wait to try them out. I’ve tried to get hold of this palette in Superdrug a few times now but it’s always sold out!

I’ve always wanted to try the Sleek Contour Kit because the pigmentation on the Sleek blushes I have are quite gorgeous bu for some odd reason I just don’t seem to reach for my Sleek blushes too often! After reading your post, it’s making me want to have another crack at them though 🙂

I love this product although I have the palette without the blush because I’m not a fan of this blush either.

So glad i came across this review.
I have been urming and arhing about this pallett for some time. I think I would have the same problem with the blush as I colours such as MAC mocha. if only you could pick and choose the combinations. xx

I haven’t been all that impressed with Sleek either. This palette doesn’t look bad though so I may be converted!

I love this kit 🙂 The contour shade is definitely my favourite part – I struggle to find shades that don’t make my skin look muddy but this is perfect! x
