Sleepy Sunday Soothers

IMG_3323I am not the worlds best sleeper so anything that claims to help me nod off is a must try and if they’re not £40 a bottle all the better. I fell in love with Aromatherapy Associates bath oils this time last year and I can’t lie (well I can but I wont) they’re  still yet to be beat but a good pillow mist does a pretty good job for considerably less and this offering from Le Couvent Des Minimes is a steal at £12 for 100ml. Although lavender does help me drift off I don’t LOVE the scent and the fragrance here is strong enough to be effective but subtle enough to not irritate my senses.

Of course sometimes a long soak in the tub with a good oil is all that with do and although it doesn’t quite compare (as I said, nothing does) this one from Arran Aromatics is pretty darn good. Going back to fragrance this has the added bonus of Sandalwood which I happen to very much enjoy so while it still has the sleepy time goodness it’s a little more pleasant and relaxing for me. Again it’s a huge amount of product for the money too, £12.50 for 300ml goes a heck of a lot further than my Aromatherapy Associates (£40 for 55ml – ouch!) oil I will reserve that for serious pamper time and use this on the regular.

These both sound fantastic, but like yourself i hate the smell of lavender! I guess anything that will help you drift off is worth a shot.

Ooh these both sound really lovely! I used to not be too keen on lavender scents as I thought they were kind of dated but now I count on a lavender body oil to chill me out before bed!

I have recently started using the Febreze night time mist and a bedside air freshner in milk and honey fragrance. Like you I’m not a fan of lavender but this smells amazing and I can feel it relaxing me as I inhale. Really helps me sleep

I use Good Night Pillow Mist by Le Couvent Des Minimes and I really like it. I recently purchase a roll on of essential oils but I still have to use. I’m quite insomniac so I totally understand you.
