Smashbox Pink Petal

Is this the most gorgeous neon pink you ever saw? I thought so. I bought this from the lovely Lauren at Smashbox in Boots Westfield in London, she was wearing it and never has there been a better advert for anything, it looked amazing on her and I had to have it.

The formula is not what I was expecting at all, it feels a little stick as I apply it and the finish is really glossy to start but although the shine dulls something about that stickiness makes it last. When I say sticky it’s not like lip gloss sticky but it kind of feels textured, almost like applying a stick of glue to your lips.. it’s not irritating once it’s on there but while it’s getting there it’s definitely not the consistency of a regular lipstick.

I bought this for the colour –  I’m absolutely in love with it, I have other pinks but this is just the right tone  for me –  and although the formula is great I’m not sure I’d buy another one purely because it’s £15.50 (online here) and there are others I’d like to try in that price range.. plus I probaby have enough lip products, right?

Ahh I think I’m in love, that colour is simply breathtaking! £15.50 is normally a bit more than I’d pay for a lipstick (unless its Chanel or the like) but I actually need that colour in my life… Thanks for posting 🙂 xx

This looks like such a gorgeous colour, have you come across any cheaper alternatives you could recommend?

I love the colour! I’m not sure pink is a good shade for me but I’d like to try it anyway xx

You can never have enough lip products. I’m fairly certain there are an unlimited number of shades of pink haha. I did have a look at this but I was worried that it was too light and would just show all the dry skin on my lips. It looks good on you though, I might spend my boots points on it.

This shade looks gorgeous on you! Interesting about the texture. I have never tried Smashbox products.
