Since my skin is oily and rarely dry I’ve never thought much about moisture masks. I had a great one from La Roche-Posay – post on that here – that took me forever to finish as I only needed it in Winter. Recently the combination of setting sprays, primers and over exfoliation have left me with sensitive, flaky skin so I’ve been looking for something to soothe it. I was sorely tempted by Origins Drink Up Mask but didn’t want to spend £20+ on something I might not use much. They do offer smaller sizes – link – but they’re still £12, I was looking for something a little kinder on the pocket.. enter Superdrug. I had seen a post on these new masks – I think it was on The Sunday Girl.. wait.. yes.. here’s the link – so when I was browsing the site and spotted this one for £2.59 it was a no brainer, I had to try it before shelling out for the Origins one. I have tried it both as a 10 minute mask and an overnight treat and I just love it, so effective while feeling light on the areas of my skin that are less dry. Even the oiliest skin can get dehydrated and often we attack breakouts caused by that dehydration with products that make it even worse. This makes my skin feel smoother and didn’t cause any additional oiliness or blemishes.. even after leaving it on overnight.
At this time of year I think everyone could benefit from a product like this, it’s essentially an intensive moisturiser which is always handy to have in stock.. for £2.59 I’m extremely happy with this purchase!
