One of my unspoken blog-olutions was to incorporate more ‘style’ into MissBB this year so Emma and I decided to bring back our Style At Any Size series 1. to push us to post more regularly (Emma is actually doing brilliantly, posting everyday outfits – check her blog out here) and 2. the SAAS videos are the easiest ones we can do separately and edit together for our collab channel. We wont be seeing each other to film until after Vegas (March) so reviving the series made sense. Besides all that we just really enjoyed it. If you’re new to my blog the idea is that Emma and I have a similar body shape (apple) but are very different sizes and we wanted to show that we can each wear the same trends regardless of our size. I feel strongly that shape has more to do with what suits you than size, I may be a 10/12 but I would NOT feel comfortable in anything tight or midriff baring where as there will be people of larger sizes who’s waists are their best feature. They would wear something more body con because they like their SHAPE – whatever size it’s in. I’m not a big fan of MY shape and dress accordingly, my legs are slim but I’m middle heavy and so a lot of what Emma would wear is what I would reach for too – again, style totally transcending size.
When we started the series originally we had planned to push ourselves a little and try trends we wouldn’t usually choose to wear but it was tough and we didn’t really achieve that.. this time we really want to do something different. Since we do have our holiday coming up we’re putting together some looks to shoot while we’re away.. but any suggestions/requests are very welcome!! This outfit is very much my comfort zone, I mean.. it’s ACTUALLY comfy for one but the slouchy knit and skinny jeans is my day to day uniform. The jumper is a recent purchase from H&M (10% off right now FYI) everything else I’ve had for an age. The bag is one I’ve had for a while but rarely worn.. it just about fits everything I need for the day but it’s no good if I need to take anything for the kids etc so it doesn’t get as much love as it should but I love the structure.. I’m going to try and use it more!
