#StyleAtAnySize – Sports Luxe

saas 5

This weeks theme is Sports Luxe, it’s a huge trend right now but not one that either of us have personally embraced so we decided to give it ago for Style At Any Size. Firstly I feel I should mention the huge blonde elephant in the room that is my hair.. I made a spur of the moment appointment with my hairdresser yesterday and this was the result, it’s a chunk blonder than I expected so it’s a bit of an adjustment but I think I love it. Moving on, my horrendously creased trousers, I left this weeks SAAS a little late and had to cease the moment I had to film it so there was little to no extra time allowance for ironing – I did run them in the tumble drier for 10mins while I was setting up though, anyone else do that?

I’m actually a big fan of this weeks theme, it’s comfortable but on trend.. my outfit (bar the shoes) felt like I was wearing pajamas and yet I could have feasibly gone out to a bar in it.. something I look for in clothes. The trousers are old but I’m fairly certain Next are doing an identical style this season, they were panned the last time I wore them in an OOTD video because I wore them with heels. I think people genuinely thought they were sports trousers, they are not. They’re very much a ‘formal jogger’ and tailored as such but the waist is elastic and there is a touch of give to the crepe material so once again – comfort is king. The patterned jacket is new and Emma will also be wearing it in her outfit this week, it’s what we based the theme on as it’s a bomber style and fit with the sports trend though the pattern  is also very in right now, I will likely wear this with jeans and plain vests most. It’s lightweight, perfect for Summer and adds something a little special to a plain outfit. I figured that Emma would go all monochrome with her outfit so I decided to add a pop of colour with the cami for a twist and the shoes were brand new yesterday from H&M, totally 90s and I love them!

I love the hair! I’m not so keen on this look, though the top and jacket is lovely I can’t say I’m in love with the bottoms…but then I have never been a jogging bottom person! x

Your hair looks gorgeous, really suits you. Not a fan of these pants though. I think jeans or a skirt would look nicer.
