It had to be done didn’t it? I loved the original Wonderstruck.. sorry LOVE.. so much that I knew I had to have the new Enchanted version, I just can’t believe it’s taken my so long to buy it! I finally have it now though so a review is job one. I only received it in the post this morning (I’m writing this on Monday because if I wasn’t super duper organised I’d never blog at all) but I think I’ve worn it long enough to write up at least my initial feelings. First of all I spritzed it straight out of the box and hated it. I thought it smelled soapy and just I guess not what I expected after the first was so sweet and fruity, I was disappointed but it has dried down to a totally different scent. I think the initial notes that hit me were white musk and florals which are not my cup of tea at all but the vanilla and woody notes came out later which has left it much more my kind of fragrance. I’ve never experienced such a flip that way around before, I’ve loved a perfume and smelled it again later and hated it but one has never changed on me from hate to love.. bizarre. If I’d tested it in Boots I would never have bought it so I’m glad I took the plunge and ordered sight unseen.
Already I think this is lasting longer on my skin than the original, I usually can’t smell that on myself after half an hour but this is much better.. although I once read that the perfume for you is the one you apply and then can’t smell yourself, only others can smell it on you.. have you heard that? The bottle is identical, holographic with the detailed golden lid but red this time, they will look cute next to each other on my dresser. Available online here priced £21.00 for 30ml
So it’s another win for me, I really like it but it was a grower so if you don’t love it straight away then wait a while.. you may find it changes on you too
