Taylor Swift – Wonderstruck

So…. yeah.. I bought this. If you follow me on twitter you’ll know I was considering the purchase a couple of days ago and somehow ended up buying her album on itunes instead. After a day of Taylor Swift warbling through my home it was clear the perfume must be acquired and an order was placed. It arrived late last night and so here I am to share my opinion. I am very particular about fragrance, aren’t we all? I hate Jimmy Choo, Loverdose and am really not as enamoured with Flower Bomb as everyone else seems to be. I prefer sweet scents like Lady Million, Lovestruck and Euphoria. This is the first perfume I’ve ever bought before testing it first but a review had been requested and it’s a reasonably priced @20 for 30ml so.. I decided to take a chance. If I’m honest I haven’t totally made up my mind whether I like it yet, I definitely don’t dislike it and I will wear it but I’ not sure that I’d have rushed to buy it if I’m sniffed it in store.

Upon first spritz you’re hit with a super sweet wave that I love but as it dries it becomes more musky and mature. Not what I expected from Taylor Swift at all! It is made up of Freesia, Green Tea, Apple Blossom, Raspberry, Dewberry.. which means very little to me because I’m less than savvy when it comes to fragrant notes but I would say that to anyone that is put off my florals.. although it may sound it it’s not flowery at all. I think it’s more of an evening fragrance for me but it just depends on you and your preference. I prefer something sweet and fresh during the day whereas this is surprisingly heav, it does last really well though for a cheaper perfume so could feasibly stick around all day at work.

Lastly I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the packaging.. how gorgeous is this bottle? It’s blue glass with a holographic overlay.. very pretty and different in different lights. To lid is plastic which takes a little shine off but it is a budget buy so what can you expect? I’ve seen photos online that see charms around the top and I’m not sure if it’s only on the 50ml bottles but if any of you know.. go ahead and leave a comment!

Overall I have nothing like this and it’s a welcome addition to my collection. It’s a lovely scent that I doubt anyone would dislike I’m just not as in love with it as I am some of my others.. but at £20 for a 30ml bottle and only £9 more for 50ml that definitely sways my favour in it’s direction!

Thats a great price for a perfume. I havent tested this. I seem to stick to the same perfumes but I think i need to get a couple new ones. This isnt something i would normally pick up. But I will give it a go.

I didn’t think it had much staying power but Lee got home after a day at work and said ‘ooh that perfumes nice’ lol.. I hadn’t smelt it on my since about 10am. I personally like to smell my own perfume so that isn’t necessarily a huge positive for me but for the price.. I like the scent and at least to others is lasts lol x

The packaging does look pretty cool I quite fancy trying this thanks x oh and if you can’t smell a fragrance on you yourself it means it suits your skin although I with you on the fact I like to smell my own fragrance. ( I used to work for a perfume store) x

haha sounds like someone that used to sell perfume would say :p.. but so long as I smell nice I guess it doesn’t matter that I can’t smell it.. plus it’s a total bargain!

I’m a huge Taylor Swift fan and seeing you review this made me so happy haha! And, just to let you know the charms are on the bottle on 50ml and above. 🙂 x

I only have a sample size of this product, which is weird because I’m a HUGE Taylor Swift fan. Have you heard her most recent song? (We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together). I love it, but never get round to purchasing it for some reason, maybe when my sample runs out..

The charms do only come with 50/100ml bottles, which is a shame really.

I want this perfume but it’s $80 here in New Zealand for just the 30ml (about £40) which is ridiculous. I’m going to try a cheaper way of getting my hand’s on the 50ml. I think I’d go through the 30ml too quickly and I really want the Charms on the bottle too.
