One of I think only three makeup products I’ve tried from The Body Shop and honestly this is a great example of why that is. The packaging looks cheap for a not so cheap product and the finish is a little frosty.. everything is a bit 1995 here. I find that a lot with The Body Shop, they don’t seem to want to stray too far from their classic branding and although some products are moving with the times it’s not enough to really appeal to me. Their bronzing powder is lovely, I’ll give them that and this is okay but it’s just not as good as I’d expect it to be for £12.00.
I am happy to spend money on something if it’s a bit exciting or really, really great but it’s just a bit ‘meh’. For £4 more you can buy one of the best highlighters I’ve tried, from The Balm – link – for £4 less you can buy a blush from Revlon (with more colour option) – link – which gives just a hint of sheen (no frost) and more colour. If you’re looking specifically for a baked blush I’d point you in the direction of Makeup Revolution – link – they do a good range of colours in no worse packaging than this for just £2.50 each
Is there anything you just LOVE from The Bodyshop’s makeup line or is it just not that exciting?
