The Body Shop Honey Bronzer

I’ve been a bad blogger recently, I was really slacking at the end of last month and I photographed so many of my new products to blog them but just couldn’t summon the enthusiasm. I’m back at it now so catching up with some of the pictures I took with my darker hair – not to confuse you. This is something I have heard so many bloggers say they love and honestly I think if it had been any other brand I’d have bought it months ago but The Body Shop makeup just doesn’t excite me. It’s on the expensive end, the packaging is plain and (sorry) boring. It’s also a totally standalone brand so I have to make a concerted effort to go and get it FROM The Body Shop unlike everything else that I can pick up at the same time from Boots – usually on 3 for 2. The only time I find their prices to be reasonable are when they run their big sales online but then again I have to buy multiple things from this one brand to benefit. Honestly I think if they sold their beauty concession in Boots/Superdrug more people would buy.

Moving on from my TBS rant this particular product is really, very nice. I love the honeycomb embossed powder, the shade (light) is just the right tone for my pale skin and at half price (which is what I paid) I would buy it again. It’s a nice countour or all over bronzer if you’re looking to warm up your face to match your face tan 😉 and although the packaging is dated it’s very compact.

Do any of you buy makeup from TBS? I don’t hear anything negative about it but something about it just doesn’t appeal to me the same way that other budget brands do.

Available online here for £13.00

This sounds really nice! I never seem to buy anything from The Body Shop either, because, again, it’s so much effort going from my nearest Boots out to TBS – it’s just handier getting everything in the one place! x

Getting more and more interested in The Body Shop lately. Have had so many duplications of suggestions for skin care to try so will defiantly be jumping on that bandwagon soon. The honey bronzer is the only real makeup bit that’s been recommended. As a fellow pale person, I can see it works really well from your pics, may have to pick that up too! X

I really want to try this bronzer out, it always catches me eye when I go into the shop but I have never got round to buying it,

I have very pale skin so I think I’ll definitely be giving this bronzer a go thank you for such a great post 🙂

I agree completely about the makeup! Although their skincare range is much better, Their vitamin C exfoliator (orange tube) is lovely and some of there moisturisers are great too!

Anything else from TBS I love! Their Jasmine perfume is to die for, their body butters and their shower gels are great but their make up is just so expensive and, like you said, boring. I also find it’s generally quite shimmery and I’m a complete matte girl so it’s never really any good for me. 🙁

I agree with you aboutTBS make up but I have to say that I LOVE their brow and liner kit. The brush is rubbish and I have never used it for liner but the powder compact is great for eyebrows and it stays on all day and night! It also lasts ages, so the £10 is totally justified. X

:O I love the packaging. I thought it was really classy and didn’t look cheap. I think those ones with the clear plastic lid just look like tat. I’m always nipping in to the body shop for a look around though because its across the road from Boots.

it’s nice packaging but it’s dated to me – not unlike some Estee Lauder stuff

I got this when Estee first started talking about it at least 6 months ago and haven’t used anything else since! Yes it’s a bit of a pain that you can only get their products in their own stores or online but I think they run a 40% off pretty much every other month so for that I can justify yet another online puchase!! I think the Body Shop is definitely a brand to keep an eye on as they are coming out with some really basic but staple products of late 🙂 x

I haven’t tried any makeup from TBS but love their other products. I have been contemplating purchasing this product for awhile and I just need to do it. Great review!

I’ve seen this bronzer come up on the feeds a lot but as I buy primarily drugstore brands like Rimmel and Bourjois this does seem on the expensive side to me. I want to try some Body Shop cleansers so I probably will include this with my next order as I’ve wanted to try it for a while. I’m just biding my time until another 50% off code comes up!

I’ve tried a few of the products in store, I found that the brow products were awful, too chalky. However I too am a fan of the bronzer and I’ve got some friends that have the brushes and also approve.
Now here comes the cheeky question, I was wondering how you started this blog, structurally, what website did you use? I’m attempting to start my own and I’ve tried 2 websites and neither have worked for me 🙁

I love the body shop but their foundation is awful, it doesn’t blend and turns your face orange! Having said that I love their bath and body products xx
