The British Beauty Blogger Palette

IMG_0688I can't quite believe this is the only picture I got of the palette itself.. nothing of the packaging or beautiful logo Jane designed or the gold casing.. madness! I am on a time crunch though as the palette launched earlier than expected so this post was going out regardless! This is a creation from Jane (British Beauty Blogger) for Makeup Revolution and although I tend to like most of what the brand releases you can see the element of Jane here and a quick glimpse at her post about the palette will give you some insight into how painstaking the production process really was. IMG_0691IMG_0693IMG_0695IMG_0698Jane was never going to endorse anything sub-par let alone lend her name to it so bearing her stamp this was always going to be a winner but it's one thing to appreciate something and another for it to be something you'd actually use. The shade/finish variety she's included will appeal to the masses while the quality is everything we've come to expect from Makeup Revolution and I'm sure what convinced Jane to work with them in the first place. It does have an overall warm feel but there are good amount of neutrals, beautiful greens and purples.. I wont say something for everyone (although I did in my video) but certainly something for most. Definitely something for me.

Once I got to swatching (which I did in the GARDEN!! That's how nice it was in Yorkshire today, folks) I found myself drawn to the golden olives rather than the safe neutrals, actually that whole second row just caught the sunlight beautifully.. I'll be wearing varying combinations of these for the next week, I'm sure.

Of course I'm biased, I love Jane and anything she's ever created.. I'm still wearing some lip crayons she made for another brand TWO YEARS AGO so it was a safe bet I'd love this palette too but I know how hard it must have been for her to finally say 'yes' to a finished product and let it loose so I'm just really happy for her that it's a good as it is.
