The Brushes You NEED

This should actually be called MORE brushes you ‘need’ I suppose.. it’s getting to be a lot, isn’t it? There are so many beauty tools available these days and so many being heralded as must haves it can be overwhelming. I know I don’t use half of what I have, in fact when I was living out of one tiny makeup bag recently I whittled it down to just TWO so you definitely don’t NEED every set on offer but this particular one was right up my street. I don’t do shadow much in the summer, I don’t know why but it always feels more appropriate to go for something a bit more dramatic in the colder months and when I do I always wish I had more brushes that did.. more. So many do the same thing and once you have on your colour and you’ve blended a bit why do you need more than 2 or 3? Details!!! This collection is liner specific and whether you want something fine to work a wing or something fluffy (but small) to smudge out your lower lash line you will find it in this little kit!

I’m a big fan of Real Techniques anyway (although I skipped the bold Metals – a little pricey for me) for their short, light handles and generally pleasing aesthetics as well as genuinely fit for purpose brushes but I’d always been disappointed by the liner brush. The original one was far to thick to get any definition and they released a silicone one I didn’t like the look of but the finest in this set is PERFECT for gel/liquid. The angled brush has been really handy for precise brows when I’m using powder and the others will definitely get use too.. possibly the first brush set I can really see myself using everything from and if you’re in to liner or even just shadow I think you’ll feel the same way!

The only brush out of real techniques that I have is the expert face brush. I just love it. It is brilliant and I am really looking forward to buying some more of their range.

These look really nice! The colour is great and the brushes themselves look really soft and easy to use. Might have to give them a try x
