Today I received the new line of Freedom products (To post on their YouTube channel – see here) and there was one product I couldn’t WAIT to get my hands on. I’m excited about most of the new launches but the promise of a brow pomade to rival the raved about Anastasia Dip Brow was what had me ripping through the bubble wrap at double speed. Now I haven’t had a full day with these yet so I can’t tell you how long they last or anything, this is just a first look but having had a play around with them I think they will be a major hit!
One thing I did notice was that the very dark shades were marginally creamier than the rest so you may need a slightly lighter hand when applying those but for the most part they’re the perfect texture. creamy enough to get on a brush but dry enough that you don’t look like you’ve taken a marker pen to your eyebrows. The shade selection is UNREAL for a drugstore brand, TEN shades at (correct me if I’m wrong) £5 each just cannot be beaten. I’ve had some real hits and misses packaging wise with more affordable brands lately but the new Freedom stuff is all super swish, very Smashbox-esque, actually.
Aside from the pomade they also have 10 powder shades, all of which are duo’s if you’re into either more subtle definition or layering up over the cream as well as professional HD palettes.. all of which I’ll get to later. For now I just wanted to be a little bit excited about what I think will be the star product of this new launch. For those who’ve been waiting the entire range will be online at Superdrug first thing (so I’m told – I’ll add the link ASAP) as well as from Freedom’s website with only another week to wait until it hits stores. I’m not sure yet whether there will be a definitive list of which stores will stock Freedom but as soon as I know, you will! It’s been a brand I’ve been really passionate about given that I’ve spent a lot of time with the products for the video work I do but the new products are really, really exciting and I think you’re going to love them!
