The Thrifted Skirt

Can you believe I’ve never bought anything from a thrift (second hand) store before this weekend? The pre-worn element isn’t what puts me off because I buy from eBay all the time but something about the shops just.. isn’t appealing. That and they’re always such a tight squeeze to get around with kids.. especially a pushchair. My friend Kat ( bought a great blazer from a store near us a few months ago so when I found myself outside a charity shop in Hereford I was compelled to have a rummage through the rails and found this absolutely bargainous skirt. Are you ready for this because I don’t think you are.. ok… it cost.. £4.95! What? Yes! It’s true!! This whole outfit probably cost me seven quid which is just awesome and it’s definitely peaked my interest in thrift store shopping for the future!

*What I’m Wearing*

Vest – Primark

Skirt – Thrifted

Flip Flops (unseen) – Havaianas

Name Necklace – eBay

Bracelets – Longleat

Watch – Michael Kors

Have you found any second hand gems?

Awww You look so pretty! I love the skirt, I love finding amazing bargains in the thrift/charity stores, great to have a mooch in, you have to look to find stuff that are great, I found some fab t-shirt last time I shopped in my local charity store, A snoop t-shirt, A Fido Dido T-Shirt from the 80’s was a crazy find coz I had the original one from ’85 in my Parents loft! Original vintage YAY!

Wouldn’t have chosen that skirt for you but seeing you wear it with a more fitted top really suits you – note to self; stop avoiding clothes I wouldn’t think suit my body type – try it styled a different way.

I’ve worn the same ‘uniform for years, generally avoiding fitted tops because I’m middle heavy but it just makes me look bigger
