The ‘Travel’ Palettes

IMG_3625I LOVE eyeshadow palettes, love love love but those that include everything you might need for travel are just my favourites. You don’t see a lot of them year round however at this time of year higher end brands tend to release them as festive gift sets. Now these are actually not Christmas specific but they ARE exclusive to World Duty Free (sorry). If you’re off to catch some Winter sun soon, 1. I’m very jealous, I don’t go on a sunny holiday until March *sobs* and 2. you NEED to take a look at these palettes.

IMG_3627IMG_3628The Lancome (£34.95) has more to it, shadows, blush, lip colours, pressed powder and even CONCEALER shades as well as multiple brushes and a cool twisty hidden compartment but all that considered.. I kinda prefer the Clarins (£39.95). The colours are more wearable and there’s a mascara and a gloss.. I’m fussy about base products so chances are I wouldn’t love the Lancome concealer and I HATE lip palettes so other than for storage the underneath of the Lancome palette would be totally wasted on me. Although it’s less compact and just generally.. less the Clarins selection is just my favourite.

Which do you prefer?

I love a good travel palette- my handbag is always full of them! The Lancome one in particular looks fab!

I don’t think I have travel palettes because I know I would still feel the need to over pack my purse/suitcase. But I also hate lip palettes! I’m glad someone else out there agrees on that.

I am an absolute sucker for duty free. I spend so much time (and money) browsing the makeup I end up having to run to catch my flight.

I prefer the look of the Lancome palette. Lancome was of my fave brand’s however now that I’ve pretty much decided (as much as I can) to only buy cruelty free makeup etc I can’t buy from this brand. It’s a shame because I used to love buying their christmas giftset’s.
