Trick & Treat Your Dark Circles

Having a two children I have rather large dark circles under my eyes and when wearing no makeup they’re what I feel most conscious of. I’ve been using the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer for over a year now and we were getting along just fine until I realised that by the end of the day it was settling into my (27 year old) fine lines and any dryness I had in areas I was trying to cover, thus accentuating them. Not good. I decided to try something new and since this fell in to a 3 for 2 in Boots with some other items I was buying I though.. why not?

It applied in the same way as my previously trusted favourite but is much thinner and more liquid, it doesn’t set as quickly so you have time to blend before it settles. One of the more odd features of this is the golden sheen it appears to have. I would imagine this is to reflect light, I’m not usually a fan of this kind of thing but somehow it works and what at first seems like too little coverage lasts all day and is in fact just right. It does claim to contain magical peptides which will fade your dark circles over time but I’m never one to fall for these promises, if it works as a concealer that’s all I need to know, it doesn’t need to do anything else!

As a side note, I have tried this on blemishes and it seems to do ok, not quite as long lasting as my Lasting Perfection but on dry areas which I’d rather hydrate I will use this in it’s place and I don’t find the shimmer translates too much to do so. It’s also yellow tones which is perfect for covering redness.. not so sure about that and the bluish under eyes but hey, it works, who am I to argue with the logic?

Available online here, currently on offer for £6 down form £9

This looks really good! I use the Lasting Perfection and it bugs me how quickly it dries, I feel like I’m really pulling my skin to rub it in which isn’t ideal! Might give this a go :)xx

I find the Lasting Perfection gets into fine lines around my eyes too (I’m only 22, I’m aging fast :(). This looks like a nice alternative, especially with the offer 🙂
