USA Shopping List #1 – Sephora

sephora wishlist

I’ll warn you now that the #number above could get very high before we actually get to America but planning my shopping is half the fun when we go on holiday and since the US has a lot of brands that we don’t I thought I’d share my stream of shopping consciousness with you all in the hope that you may be able to offer some advice. When we went to Vegas last year I was umming and ahhing over so many products and now I wish I’d just bought them so this time around if I see something I like I’m having it cause chances are I wont get the opportunity again for quite a while and I really dont fancy paying inflated eBay prices for something I’ve held in my hand and could have bought for RRP. If you have any suggestions of must haves you think I need to pick up or brands I should try please leave a comment ’cause I have a mismash of ideas right now and I want to get a solid shopping list to at least base my spending on.

So far I have the following brands

Fresh / Disney Collection / Josie Marin / Kat Von D / LORAC / MUFE / OPI For Sephora

I have lots of US exclusives from brands we can usually get here in the UK that I will be looking for too, eg. I Heart New York palette from Nars which seems to be a bit of a b**ch to get hold of but I will be scouring the city as it would be such a cool souvenir from our trip. If all else fails I will be buying the New York eyeshadow from Nars anyway – a gorgeous plum that I usually wouldn’t splash out on but I wont be able to resist while I’m actually there. The next post will be drugstore but right now I am so overfaced with the amount I want I’m kind of building up to it. That and I’m waiting to see what we might get over here first, off the top of my head I’m looking at A LOT of Wet n Wild and everything from Maybelline that we don’t have.. Colour Tattoos I’m looking at you.. Oh and a case full of Bath & Bodyworks Candles of course.

I’m going to the US in 9 days! I’ll be there over black friday so hope to get some bargains. My list so long…Kat Von D, MUFE, OPI, Wet n Wild … I already ordered lots of Tarte stuff from their website when they had 20% off everything and got it sent to my friend’s Uncles house (who we are staying with). I would recommend looking at some Tarte things, their concealer and blushes maybe 🙂

I am going to New York in February and the MUFE Mat Velvet + and Kat Von D Concealer are on my shopping list too! I also really want to try the Josie Maran Luminizer xox

Few other brands to have a look at whilst you’re over there: Tarte, Jessie’s Girl and Milani. Also, look out for vitafusion multivites – they’re essentially adult gummy bear vitamins! x

Milani. Their Liquif’eye pencils are better than the Urban Decay 24/7 pencils IMO.

If I’m in a rush, I use #05 Brown Liquif’eye to tightline my upper water line & I don’t get the dreaded Panda look at the end of my workday.

For a crisper more dramatic look, I use Milani’s Infinite Wear liquid liner in #06 Unlimited with a push brush to tightline my upper water line & it wears like Iron! It doesn’t irritate my eyes & will as advertised last for 24 hrs without flaking.

Tarte: Amazonian clay 12 hr blush. (I wear Exposed & it last all day on my blush eating oily cheeks.)

Tarte also makes my favorite Lights, Camera Lashes! 4 in 1 mascara. It doesn’t flake on me or give me the above mentioned Panda eyes & doesn’t bother my sensitive allergy prone eyes.

Have fun shopping on your trip here. I envy you & can only imagine the power shopping I would do if I get the chance to chance to visit the UK!

I’ve been eyeing up the Lorac palette as well. It drives me nuts that companies sell products in the US that they don’t sell here. Its just stupid because we’d buy them if we could! I’m planning on ordering a whole bunch of stuff from Ulta’s website using a parcel forwarding service but the postage could end up being really steep so I’m waiting till after christmas.

I’ve tried the Kat Von D concealer, foundation(liquid and powder), blush, and contouring powder, and I love and highly suggest them all but I wouldn’t suggest the felt tip eyeliner as it doesn’t last very long

I have the Lorac Pro palette & it is amazing!! Look for the Laura Mercier Artists palette, Kat Von D $55, and the Anastasia eye palette’s. You may also want to take a look at Ulta for some items.
