Vivo – Innocence

I hate to say something its good ‘for the money’ yet it seems to be one of my most used phrases here. Really when reviewing a product the cost should be the last factor, the decider if you will. After all who wants a drawer full of cheap ineffective makeup when you could have chosen more wisely and bought fewer better quality pieces. I’m not sure what I think about this little trio from Vivo yet, in the pan the shadows promise a lot but upon swatching.. it’s just not there. They behave like pressed pigments fallout wise but you really don’t get the pay off along with it. The colours are beautiful and with a good primer etc etc.. I want to say for £2.50 give them a go but I hate seeing girls with eyeshadow on their faces rather than their lids so I can’t be responsible for that. Sorry Vivo, I wanted to love this but it’s just not great, I appreciate the effort and love your prices but I’d rather pay £2.50 for one great formula than sacrifice quality for an three.

This palette is named Innocence and is Available for £2.50 online here

I saw these in Tesco a couple of weeks ago and at that price I was gagging to buy but when I swatched it on the back of my hand, they came out like a powdery talc! I didn’t buy it even though I love the colours in the Innocence palette, it just didn’t seem like I would have the patience to make them stick, It’s good to see you post a disagreement with the product and that you post products that you don’t like too!! 😀

yes! exactly! they look awesome but are just so blah! when I worked at urban decay they used to pride themselves on using the least binder in the industry and I now see what they meant.. other cheaper brands are using talc’s the stretch the product but as a result it’s just no good!
