Want To Try: The Balm

balm balm

I have wanted to try The Balm cosmetics since EmilyNoel first raved about them on Beauty Broadcast and now they’re finally here in the UK. From what I can tell the new H&M spin off ‘& Other Stories‘ is stocking the range and luckily so is Feel Unique online – and it’s not a limited selection either. I would quite like to see the products in person before making an order because they’re not super cheap – think somewhere between Soap & Glory and Urban Decay – but I think I shall just have to bite the bullet as I don’t think they’ll be coming to a store near me any time soon.

Top of my wishlist are Mary-Lou-Maniser highlighting powder (looks like the Lorac which I’ve lusted after for YEARS but is US only) and the Nude’Tude palette.. I neeeeed them!!! The blushes look beautiful, they even do a powder blush stain which sounds very interesting but would make me nervous in case I overdid it and couldn’t blend it away. I basically want to try anything so for those like me who have had their eye on this brand for a while I thought I’d let you know it’s now available to purchase – see the whole range here – yay!

i’ve been using the balm products for over a year now, and i say try the tinted moisturizer , the mary lou manizer, down boy blush, frat boy blush and the instain blush from the balm, those are what i’ve tried from them so far since they are so easily available for me here in singapore, and for the timebalm cream foundation and concealer, i say don’t get it if you have large pores and oily skin because the FOUNDATION will accentuate your large pores like mad and cakes up very easily and slides off your face quite easily as well on oily skin especially around the T zone if you don’t prime and prep your skin well, but for dry skin, i think it would be great! just my opinion on the balm products:)

I highly urged and recommend you to get The Balm’s Mary-Lou Maniser highlighting powder. It’s absolutely amazing and is the perfect and ONLY highlighter I am using now. 🙂

I spent a small fortune getting the limited edition Muppets palette from The Balm shipped from the US to the UK and it was worth every penny! The eyeshadow quality is fantastic! So glad to hear that they’ll be more readily available in the UK now 🙂

I saw these in ‘and other stories’ and tried the highlighter out…it is absolutely beautiful but give it a rub and it completely disappears! I wasnt very impressed with that considering its about £18. I think my MUA one is much better longevity-wise.

Wish i’d picked some stuff up when i was in the states when i saw these. I thought they were just a cheaper version of Benefit! x

I love TheBalm, their products are definitely worth the price! I have two of the blushers, FratBoy & DownBoy. They’re amazingly pigmented, you only need the tiniest amount, & the colours are beautiful 🙂 Bahama Mama & an eyeshadow palette are next on my wishlist! x

I have the frat boy blush and whilst it looks nothing special in the pan, on the face it is INCREDIBLE. Can’t really describe the effect it has but the colour just seems to instantly pep the face up without looking super obvious. Definitely want to try more of their stuff. Amazon gets some of it in too for a bit cheaper if you have a look on there. Great post xox
