Wedding Countdown – The Rings

In the interest of symmetry with my YouTube channel I’m posting this here even though it’s kind of duplicated on my wedding blog. You can see that post here for full info/where to buy and close up photos. Lee’s ring (left) is white gold with diamonds.. yes it is a touch flashy but he likes it.. I think he’s going to be looking for a plainer alternate band soon though as I doubt he will want to wear this one every day. My engagement ring was made to my design using an heirloom 1/2 ct diamond solitaire and put together with pear shaped amethysts (my birth stone) in a vintage-inspired setting. I love it but it was so difficult to find a wedding band to compliment the unusual shape. I was on a budget and everything I liked was so expensive I ended up going for this silver and diamond half eternity. I know it’s not ideal to wear mixed metals but it will do until I find a suitable alternative in white gold. I really like the way they look together. You can’t tell from the picture because the band is at an angle but the diamonds on the shoulders of my engagement ring hit the exact point the half eternity ends.. they look like they were made for each other.
We’ve had these rings for nearly 2 years so it will be awesome to finally be able to wear them in less than a weeks time.
