I’m almost at the end of my US exclusives, I promise.. also almost done with the pink/purple hair pics.. gotta say every time I see it I get a hankering to do it again but it was far too costly both to my wallet and the condition of my hair to quite dare to.. anyway.. tangent. Wet n Wild are known for their eyeshadow palettes and the last time I had the opportunity to pick this blogger favourite up there was only 1 in stock and a friend had asked me to get her one.. I made a choice, I had to live with it. 2 years later I finally have it and it does not disappoint!!
The shadows are all just as soft and creamy as they say, the pigmentation is immense for such a low cost product, I would say it’s as close as you’re going to get to the likes of Urban Decay without ponying up that extra bit of cash, I just love it and every time I look at it I cry a little inside about not having it available here in the UK.. also that two of the shadows broke a little in transit.. it will be well looked after now. There are no dud shades here, they all offer great pay off and although the colours are varied they work so well together, I can see why this combination is the most popular. There are plenty of others available as well as quads to choose from and the next opportunity I have I will be stocking up on some more so if you have an recommendations I’d love to hear them – hoping to get back to Vegas early next year, fingers and toes crossed!
I realise now that I could have created something much more bold to show you how lovely this palette really is but I went for something I’d actually wear and honestly the fact that the shimmery, ‘brow bone’ colours translated on the skin was nothing short of a miracle. There are plenty of low end shadows that swatch well but once you try to use them as intended they just fall apart and leave nothing on your lid. I do love my budget brands but eyeshadow is the one area that I feel like I’m not satisfied with from that area. Pretty much anything else, in fact strike that, ANTHING else.. all base products, eyeliner, mascara, blush, lipstick.. I would be more than happy to use drugstore only variations for the rest of my life but I had never found anything that cuts it in this department until I tried this. I am holding out a lot of hope for a UK launch since I have heard frequent rumours of Irish sightings but until then I will be scouring eBay and being tempted..
