Winter Warmer Wishlist

winter warmer wishlist

French Connection animal print dress – £28.00 (sale) / Tall Black Ugg Boots – £190.00 / Cossack Hats – £7.99 / Multicoloured Chunky Knit Snood – £9.95 / Bath & Bodyworks Fresh Balsam Candle – £23.00 / Love bullets silver bracelet – £45.00

Ahh.. Winter. Is it not just the most wonderful time of the year? I’m currently snuggled up underneath a blanket with only my laptop keeping me warm because our boiler’s on the fritz and Milo’s cuddling up next to me watching Cars. It looks a little crisp outside and when I thought of leaving the house to collect Ella from school later and found myself browsing the web for winter clothing, scarves and hats so I thought I would share some of my picks with you all. First of all the cossack hats.. Primark did these last year but I thought they looks ridiculous.. this is usually the case with me and trends, I don’t like them until they’re not so hot anymore but I found these on eBay which will do if Primark don’t release another version this year. Uggs are top of my Christmas wishlist this year because my 3 year old pair are starting to look really battered now and I’d like a smarter looking black pair for our trip to NYC in January.. I’m not sure on height though, I think tall but if you have any varying suggestions feel free to let me know! I’m yet to actually order a Bath & Bodyworks (Slatkin & Co/White Barn) candle online because they’re so expensive to ship to the UK when I know how good the deals can be in the states but I think I might finally cave this year and given that I can’t test the scent before I buy Fresh Balsam sounds like a safe choice to me. Lastly I found this French Connection dress in the sale that just has me written all over it. I love a bit of animal print and these are so ‘my colours’ – I might wear it as a long top with leggings though.. I don’t get my legs out too often over the winter months!

I have spent a small fortune recently and really have to reign in my spending if I want any dollars to take with me on our post Christmas trip so you may see these posts crop up more often, I feel like this online window shopping could quench my spending thirst. If any of your are tightening your belts in the lead up to Christmas let me know if you have any tips!

Don’t buy uggs here if you are going to New York in January! They are ridiculously cheap in USA compared to UK. Depending on the exchange rate you can get them for up to half price – I got two pairs for £180 last year xxx

Yeah I think it was the walking company I got them from! This was in Florida though so not sure if they have that exact shop in NY but I’ve heard from friends you get the exact same discounts 🙂

*Also* – if you have small feet then you can buy the kids version which are even cheaper! I think they go up to a UK 5 and are a lot less than the adults! Bargain!

Have you tried emu boots? I have two pairs of uggs (Bailey and cardigan) and three pairs of emu boots and I much prefer emu. I’ve recently got a new black pair from qvc which are waterproof but are still that suede we all know and love. They are definitely worth a look if you want an investment. If you do decided to buy qvc often have then on special offers. I did a short post on my blog if it’s something your interested in.
