I do love the idea of these swirl candles, they are a hybrid between 2 popular scents. This one is a mix of Lavender Vanilla and Soft Blanket and having had both in the past I would say it’s a really good choice of scents to burn at the same time. You could get the same result burning two candles of course but then where’s the fun in that? – plus it’s not as cost effective 😉
I must admit I’d never considered combining home fragrance before and burning more than one scented candle and once but I will be giving it a go with what I have and reporting back if I discover anything life changing. As candles go I do find that Yankee burns the longest for me, my Bath & Bodyworks tend to get more love but often I find that’s because I get bored of a Yankee scent before I’ve burned it up, they just last forever. I swear I’ve been burning a large jar in my bedroom since November (not constantly you understand) and it’s not even half done. Definitely the best value for money that I’ve tried however I can’t tell you that I love this scent. I didn’t care for Soft Blanket and that really does carry with this mix.. it’s powdery and I can see why some people like it but it’s not for me. I will be passing this on to my Mum who I’ve recently converted to scented candles and is totally obsessed with the Yankee ones I’ve given her so far because I think it will be right up her alley.
Love the idea of the swirls, there are some great fruity mixes I’d love to try but I’d love to hear from you if you have any suggestions of your own or even of scent combining (burning separate candles) it’s a very new concept to me but maybe you’ve been doing it forever..
