I know some of you humbugs out there will still think it’s too early for all this but I’ve been burning this for weeks just to defy you. It’s Christmas in my house, we have the tree up and EVERYTHING, so there!! Ahem *composes self* moving on.. Yankee Candles, YAY! Don’t you love a good Yankee and Christmastime? I have 4 on the go at the moment (not all at once you understand) and one (Happy Christmas) I’m saving for December. Merry Marshmallow is a new launch for 2013 but I think it will stick around as it offers an alternative to citrus/pine in a light vanilla fragrance that doesn’t make you gag. I have to specify that because I AM not a fan of their other vanilla scents.. The cupcake varieties are seriously the worst, soooo synthetic but this is just the right balance of sweetness. I can’t tell you I prefer it to my beloved Fireside treats which is a touch less vanilla with a smokey edge but I do like it.. good job really since this candle is MASSIVE. My other favourites at present are Winter Wonderland – classic Christmas but I fear it may have been discontinued and Cranberry Ice – sooo yummy, sweet but tart at the same time!
I would wager that a HUGE jar such as this will last you all Christmas so if you’re planning on getting only one it’s definitely the most cost effective way to do it and will set you back £19.99 online here. If you don’t want one quite so large the majority of my Christmas scents I have are Medium jars and I can vouch for their effectiveness.. the scent really fills the room but if you’re on a tight budget I would recommend that wax tarts because I don’t think the small jars are quite as pungent.. unless of course you’re burning one while you’re working at your desk for example in which case it will work nicely.. ie: what I do with my Fireside Treats 😉
