Yankee Simply Home – Frosted Snow

IMG_3926I just wrote a post which will go up on Sunday (official start of Christmas, FYI) so I’m a little out of sync but in that future post I mention my all time favourite Christmas scent, Yankee Winter Wonderland. I’ve mentioned it countless times before in posts and videos and it just is the best ever but unfortunately this year they seem to have done away with it – sob. I’ve been told there’s a replacement scent that is as good as the same but I haven’t managed to get myself down to a store to test them out yet. In the meantime I thought I’d share this one from there marginally cheaper diffusion line ‘Simply Home’ which I picked up at Asda last week – I think these are also available fro Tesco but I can’t find an online stockist, sorry. It’s not QUITE the same, it has a slightly soapy note to it that I don’t love but it’s the closest I’ve found as as mentioned.. slightly cheaper than the orginal too. It’s basically a fresh, tree-like scent that will remind you of being outdoors, think snowy walks in the woods and you’ll pretty much be where I’m at.. I love it. I’m not generally a fruity, sweet, heavy scent lover (although I have a deliciously sweet scented candle to share with you soon) I definitely refer these crisper scents and this will do in the absence of my all time favourite. I know I could of course find Winter Wonderland on eBay but, guys! That’s not really the point, is it? They should have known not to get rid of it.. I can’t have been the only one that loved it!

What’s your favourite Christmas candle? PS. don’t tell me I need to try Christmas Cupcake/Cookie etc etc etc .. I HATE them lol

I can’t stand anything floral, or fruity! I’m one of those suckers for cake/cookies/icing!!

I thought I saw Winter Wonderland in my local Debenhams… If not they have a great selection of the festive ones, they do a selection box with one of all of the tea lights I think x

I love Christmas smells, if you like cinnamon I recommend the Yankee cinnamon candle. My mum had it last year and whenever she lit it, the whole house smelt like Christmas. It was amazing! Great post xxx

I reckon its just me but I always find Yankee candles a bit of a let down? You’ve tempted me so I might go and sniff this one out for myself..

I know its not very Christmasy but I love Fireside Treats.. I would burn it all year round if I could! Although I discovered Candy Cane Lane a few weeks ago, and I love it! To me it smells exactly like Candy Canes! 🙂
