Yogi Curls

I received this  a few weeks ago and have been trying it out with a view to making a video using the wand.. unfortunately it’s not going to work out that way. I’m just not very good at it. Lots of you asked how I’ve been curling my hair in recent videos and outfit posts, well half of the time I’ve used my Toni and Guy tongs and the other half I’ve used this, both achieved a similar effect, the Yogi was a little looser as the barrel is larger but I find it so difficult to work with a wand – it’s going to take some practice before I use them in a video, for sure!

At first glance you’d be forgiven for thinking these attachments were obscene implements but they are in fact interchangeable wands, one is the same width top to bottom, the other is conical.

I prefer the conical wand as it’s narrower and gives me tighter curls in my mid length hair but when I finally get the hang of this thing I’ll be glad to have the option. I’m sure it’s a user issue rather than a product issue as this is the first curling wand I’ve ever used but one thing I would note about this is it’s relatively expensive but it doesn’t feel it. I would have put it in the £40-50 price range maximum but when I looked it up online I discovered it’s actually £79.95 (link) – eek!

If you’ve used this I’d love to hear from you as like I said I’m a bit of a curling novice so I may be missing something fantastic about this thing. I will persevere and make a video with it once I’ve got the knack but the way I’m doing it at the moment I’d look a bit daft 😉

I purchased the yogi wand set from QVC a while back (somehow paying it in instalments seemed cheaper in my head!) and I really like it. the one I had came with three attachments although I only really use the largest. its tricky getting used to it and ive burnt myself many times! I find It easier to use on my hair extensions before I put them in my hair- my real hair is too short to use the yogi wand on I think.

I love the yogi brand, i have a wand and a straightener from them. They are expensive but it gives nice curls. The wand takes some getting used to Ive had mine a year but can still burn myself. I find it much easier without the gloves included in mine but when you get burnt it really does hurt!
