Oh my word what beauty is this? I was so excited to open this package I painted my nails in bed before work on Friday morning, I used the creamy pink (Wendy) which I wore that day and LOVED but before I had time to take photos that evening I HAD to play with the glitters (or ‘bubbles) which totally took Wendy to Wonderland.. or was that Neverland? I’ve never tied Zoya before and since I have little experience I don’t want to say for sure this is an issue but they chipped pretty quickly for me which was a disappointment. Wearing Wendy without a topcoat that first day was a mistake but even after a layer of Seche Vite they’re chipping on day 3 which is unusual for glitters on me. It may just be that I’ve been doing more washing up (my husband would laugh at that statement) that normal but I thought I would mention it since they’re not cheap.
Moving on to the epic colours however – Wendy itself it beautiful and I would likely rave about that alone but the glitters are out of this world. Very similar to the top coats Essie brought out a Christmas time – something treasures? Caviar? I don’t know – they’re multi dimensional, holographic and definitely capable of an opaque finish all on their own so if you’re just interested n the ‘Bubbles’ line (Tickled are the cream formula’s in the collection) I would definitely recommend them. Worth your money and not something you’re necessarily going to be able to dupe at the drugstore.
The colours I’m wearing here are Alma (left, summer in a bottle, my favourite of the three) and Binx (right, purple/pink, reminds me of Binky from MIC, that was unnecessary commentary) and I love them both. I’d say Alma appealed more but that may be because it’s a contrastic colour to the coral base so it gave almost a duo chrome effect.. I will be trying them with other colours underneath very soon – excited! I can’t tell you how easy they are to remove but lets just guess they’re as difficult as every other glitter nail polish and if they’re not you can expect a follow up because I’m yet to find a totally amazing finish such as this that’s not a total bitch to remove but I consider them worth my time – every now and again.
So in a nutshell, first Zoya polishes I’ve tried, would love to try more. Love the bottles – yes that’s important – and the Bubble collection is so good I may have to buy some additional colours – Muse, I’m looking at you!
