#30in30 Rimmel Kate Nude 45
So it would seem little old Kate has yet another collaboration with Rimmel! I can't help but wonder how much input she has in to these products aside from lending them her name but as a rule I generally enjoy them so I'm not complaining. I hadn't heard anything about the new Nude range before I saw the stand in Boots but since I've seen reviews from women of all skintones popping up so that in encouraging. On the highstreet nude is usually one 'universal' shade so it's nice to see a variety for once. I chose 45 which (would you believe) is one of the darker shades, the come MUCH paler than this but I've never been in to that 'concealer lips' trend so this is more my scene. The finish is very sheer and glossy, I am guessing Rimmel have done this so that the colours ARE more universal as they will adapt slightly to your own lip colour but for me this one was a bit.. meh.
You can't hide those tired eyes, am I right? This weeks photos have had me looking more and more like a need a good nights sleep.. the moving process has taken it's TOLL! I initially thought this colour was just a really great match for my natural lip colour but on further inspection I've decided it's actually just not very pigmented.. really sheer, more like a tinted balm than a lipstick. Like a balm it doesn't last long on my lips but it wears evenly and so there's no worry of it looking patchy after a couple of sips of tea. UNLIKE balm it's SUPER drying.. I have never really experience anything like it from such a glossy texture but my lips felt parched.. like they needed a serious moisture hit after only a couple of hours of wear. I'd be interested to see how the other colours fare as at this price point you don't always get the most consistency throughout a range but if this is anything to go by I'm not impressed. Have you tried these yet? Did you like them?
