California in Nevada

I love The Linq in Las Vegas! It's so bright and colourful, a complete departure from the rest of the strip. Sure there are lights and colour elsewhere but if you were blindfolded and placed between Sprinkles Cupcakes and In-N-Out, right by the fountains you could definitely be forgiven for thinking you were in California! Maybe it's the Santa Monica vibes but I would highly recommend you add it to your itinerary if you're planning a trip.We've been by a few times but having been blessed with some amazing hotel rooms lately we assumed the High Roller (huge observation wheel) would be kind of redundant since our view was already great.. how wrong we were. We went in the middle of the day and got a pod to ourselves, I would imagine it's busier at night but I'd still love to do it.. the view was so good in the day, I can't imagine how much better it could be. They also do a 'Happy Half Hour' offer with a bar on board.. Ella was petrified (she's literally scared of everything) and Milo was twerking at 550ft ..go figure. Our family Vegas vacay was challenging but this was the best day, for sure. I think everyone had just about synched up to the local time and caught up on their sleep in time for us to go home!! As I spoke about in this post, the pressure can ruin big events, whether it be the pressure you put on yourself - "HOLIDAY OF A LIFETIME", I'm looking at you! - or the pressure you feel to portray your life online as completely perfect. Nothing is ever perfect, least of all when you want it to be but you can always find some snippets of joy and this was one of mine.
