First Time Cruisers First Impressions
My week so far has been insane..and it's only Wednesday.. wait. Is it Thursday? I'm so confused. I am currently travelling with Celestyal Cruises and in just 3 days we've seen Mykonos, Milos (that's right! - Milo has his own island, apparently) and Santorini. I can't say I've ever really thought much about cruising as a holiday option but if you want to see a lot in a short space of time without spending a fortune, I can't think of a better way.I was initially nervous to be travelling alone but thankfully I've met some lovely bloggers here who are equally as excited (especially Sophie) to be island hopping and from a creative perspective it's always inspiring to be surrounded by people who are passionate about what they do. That being said, the time on my own has been welcome too. The staff are so attentive and friendly and the tours so well organised that I think I'd have been okay even if I hadn't found a friend. It's hard to push myself out of my comfort zone and I'm feeling a little homesick but I'm so happy that I took the opportunity because between the cruise itself and the excursions I've seen things I really don't think I would have on my own. It's not quite broken me of my love of America but it's definitely instilled a little more confidence in european travel and I'd be much more inclined to book a trip for the family in future. It's the perfect way to dip your toe in travel with the safety and familiarity of 'coming home' each night and waking up somewhere new.I'll tell you more about the islands and the cruise next week but I wanted to check in and share a few snaps before we venture out in to town for dinner. Keep an eye on my insta/stories for daily updates as we go.*the trip has been paid for but I am not being paid for my review
