Laser Lipo, Celebrity Hair + The Two Day Hangover / Weekly Wind Down 3.2

I'm so glad that I started these weekly posts this year because I don't always set aside time to write in the same way I do to film/edit for YouTube but I've committed to a more casual Sunday run down; minimum, and it's working for me. I hope it's working for you!As I write this, I'm waiting on a Dominoes delivery and nursing the second day of a hangover. Hold that thought - pizza just arrived -Ahh.. that's better. I swear, some chicken wings and garlic doughballs are the CURE! That and a glass of full fat coke, of course. That's the problem with swanky London restaurants.. their menus are not designed for delicate, morning after bodies. I'll pass on the freshly squeezed juices and gluten free avocado toast, thanks. I need ALL the sugar and carbs!Anyway.. It's been eventful. On Wednesday I cut ties with a brand that I'd been working with for years (it was dysfunctional and making me unhappy but paid well) and I was having another of my 'why am I still doing this blogging thing?' wobbles. Much as I try to lean on the positive, I still have those days where I wonder if I should be working towards something else entirely. On this occasion, as my final invoices were sent, I received 3 emails with potential opportunities that felt a lot like a sign that I should buck up and keep going. I can't help but feel like it's the law of attraction at work when this happens.Also.. that chronic back pain I've been suffering with for years hasn't flared up at all since then. Makes you wonder how much of a physical toll stress can really cause. On Thursday I went to try out a new laser lipo treatment that promises to sculpt your jawline and tighten the skin. Much as it wasn't a HUGE difference I saw an instant result and I'm going back in 2 weeks for final 'after' photos, at which point I'll share more. The craziest thing was that just as I was leaving, the lovely lady at the clinic offered to remove a patch of melasma (pigmentation from pregnancy) that I'd had for years. It was a total whim but I can't wait to see what it looks like once it's healed and; again, I'll share more about that once it's all done.On Friday I was invited to the fancy pants Josh Woods salon to test out their new 'Colour' line (available at Boots) and they gave me a treatment that added a small amount of colour and the MOST shine ever. I have been looking for a semi permanent colour gloss ever since I embraced my natural shade and I am completely sold! The Notting Hill salon is the stuff of dreams and we were taken to a private room, apparently reserved to give their celebrity clientele more privacy . As if having my hair styled by the very hands that regularly style Victoria Beckham herself wasn't enough, we were then treated to dinner and a stay at the gorgeous Kimpton Fitzroy. We spent Saturday morning at The Glamour Beauty Festival (it was A LOT!) where I quizzed the Cool Sculpting stand about their version of the treatment I'd just had and was totally amazed by the before/after waistline shots. Have any of your tried anything like this? I have always been pretty anti-surgery; purely because I fear I'd regret it, but these new laser treatments are so intriguing to me! Pricey but seemingly effective and non-invasive. In the words of Biebs, never say never. It took what felt like a million years to get home, thanks to a broken down train near Stevenage and by 9pm I'd passed out on the sofa with Milo. Lee was on a (very rare) night out with work so when he got home at almost midnight, you can imagine his surprise! In 'No Buy March' news, top of my wishlist this week is a suitcase from Away. I've wanted one since the big American YouTubers were talking about them years ago and I decided to go a big eBay sale of old bags/accessories I wasn't wearing anymore so I'm currently toying with treating myself to one with the proceeds. I'm between that and putting the cash towards my holiday spending fund. I've also been eyeing up a couple of beautiful rings from Monica Vinader and Carrie Elizabeth. I read that Moonstone represents new beginnings and I do like jewellery with a sense of significance.. also, I feel a new start coming. It's also been a more productive week for videos! I have put in more hours than usual and am looking forward to a quieter one next week. If you'd like to catch up, here's my last one -- and that's it for this one. The boys are watching Jurassic World 2 and it's terrifying. I remember it being so tense in the cinema, it's easier to watch at home but still.. I think I may be excusing myself and going for a nap now.
